Now that that is out of the way, my vacation was interesting.  I have some new arts, but i'm too lazy to look for them all right now, so maybe later.

The time has come for me to critique something.

Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle

Harold and Kumar decide to spend what would have been an otherwise uneventful Friday night satisfying an oddly intense urge for White Castle hamburgers. However, finding a suitable White Castle proves a highly difficult task, and the two friends wind up on an epic road trip of deep thoughts, deeper inhaling, and enough half-baked, politically incorrect philosophizing to outweigh a White Castle value meal.
~Tracie Cooper- All Movie Guide

Okay, this movie is about two stoners who see a commercial for white castle and decide to follow their craving no matter what.  The only problem?  There are no White Castle's near them, so they go on a mini-roadtrip to find one and along the way their car gets stolen, a laptop is destroyed, surgery is performed, a cheetah is ridden, and two "wimps" grow a set and tell off their bullies.

This movie can occastionally be funny.  That's it.  If you decide to watch it, my reccomendation is either be really drunk or stoned because that's the only way you'll be entertained.  This is just an hour and a half of my life i'll never get back.

Rating 3/5 for the comedy.

Hehehe, the title has nothing to do with this post.  Just dropping in for a quick update.  Tomorrow i'll be reviewing shows and such.  Right now i'm jittery.  I need to go home, but I'm waiting on a customer.  Dead Drop is up.  New layout will be up tomorrow.  I have gotten about 20 affiliates since last time I updated and I'm overwhelmed by the amazing people who've tagged me and asked me to affiliate with them.  Thanks a bunch.  Umm...I'm going now though, so more tomorrow.  Love to all *mwah*

It makes me sick

I woke up this morning with an upset stomach and a weird feeling of something bad happening.  The last time I felt like that was when my dad had his heart attacks, when I got in an accident, and 9/11.  This morning I felt it again.  I couldn't sleep, I am infamous for my insomnia.  Finally I fell asleep around 3 am, but I kept tossing and turning, but never dreamed.  Then I woke up and turned on the new.  That's when I seen it.  Another terrorist attack.  This time it's in London.  People bombed the Underground and Double-Deckers just before rush hour.  Just looking at the footage and listening to what happened made my skin go cold and get goosebumps.  I felt the nausea clawing at my throat from watching this atrocity.  Then I had to go to work.  I didn't know if any of my friends or family that lived in London were alright, but I had to go anyways.  On my lunch, I turned on Fox News for the latest to hear that the Al-Quaeda fuckalls the same group responsible for 9/11 claimed responsibility.  That pissed me off like you wouldn't believe.  And now, I wish to every God I've ever heard, that all those fucking asshole douchebags die.  Seriously.  I'm so mad right now.  It just makes me want to be accepted into the FBI or CIA when I get my degree because I seriously want to end this shit.  Those people are crazy.  I just want to scream.  What's their flaw?  I'm pretty sure that Allah or whomever they prey to does not agree with the slaughter of innocents as a demonstration of stupidity.

I'm too mad to write reviews.  I'll have a large update tomorrow.

A Wonderful Day In The Neighborhood....

Let's see....I'm working on an update for Dead Drop.  Right now it has a Luke/Lorelai of Gilmore Girls layout because they are too cute.  I'm going to be sparse for a few weeks, I'm on vacation from July 15th until the 25th.  Don't cry too hard.  I'll make sure I leave a nice long entry, including my will incase I die from falling off a mountain or getting in a plane crash or get eaten to death by ants.  Until then, I'll post a few reviews...

Gilmore Girls: Norman Mailer, I'm Pregnant
First Ran: 10/27/2004

Description:
Lorelai and Sookie are thrilled author Norman Mailer starts coming to the Inn until he doesn't order food.  Sookie is told she must cut lunch temporarily, so she blames it on Norman Mailer.   Rory begins an investigation on a Secret Society at Yale.  Chris asks Lorelai for help when Sherry leaves him and the baby for a job in France.  Rory orders Chris to leave Lorelai alone.  Sookie realizes she's pregnant.

Dissection:
This was a good episode.  Not great, but good.  Sookie was getting really annoying until she found out she was pregnant again.  I wasn't too fond of Logan in this episode, but then again I never am because I dislike Logan.  Also, I'm glad that Rory told Chris to leave Lorelai alone.  Chris is annoying and he's always messing things up for Lorelai.  Luke was cute with the "it's not a bit" bit.  Paris and the newspaper editor were great in their scene together as well.  I'm glad they left strings open for later in the season (i.e: Rory and Chris's talk; Sookie's pregancy which has hilarious results; Rory's investigation.)  The chemistry between Rory and Logan is great and they spar well together.  Despite all this, the episode was not the best.

One Tree Hill: Pilot and The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most

Description:  As most pilots, this introduces the main characters, their roles, and the basic plot.  Nathan and Lucas are half brothers.  Their mothers both got pregant at the same time by the same guy, Dan.  Dan is a rich (douchebag) that owns a car dealership and was a basketball player.  After high school, he got a chance to play at a university, so left Lucas' mother to fend for herself and went off with Nathan's mother.  Needless to say, Lucas is a "bastard."  Now Lucas is playing basketball in the park and working part time at his Uncle Keith's Body Shop.  One night the basketball team gets in trouble and half the team is thrown off, except Nathan because his daddy took care of it.  Now the coach, Whitey, needs more players.  Keith is friends with Whitey and gets Whitey to watch Lucas play.  Whitey offers him a spot.  Meanwhile Nathan is angry that Lucas is on the team and tells Nathan they are going to have a b-ball faceoff.  Lucas wins.  Lucas has a crush on Peyton, Nathan's girlfriend. In the second episode, the writers built onto the budding Peyton/Lucas relationship and on the Nathan/Lucas rivalry, which came to a head during a class and Lucas pummeled Nathan.  Nathan and Peyton get in a fight and Peyton gets a ride home from Lucas.

Dissection:

This was an okay pilot.  The best ones I've ever seen are Alias and Lost.  The basketball was a major turn-off and the original reason I stopped watching the show.  I'm not a basketball fan.  Chad Michael Murray is a decent actor in the show and the only bad acting I've seen was on the part of Nathan and his acting isn't that bad.  Some of the things on the show I wouldn't say though.  The second episode was okay.  I like how Peyton is your stereotypical un-stereotypical cheerleader.  At least the show has good music because of her.  This episode was better written than the pilot, but I still wish they's quit the basketball, but I know it's a main storyline.  I'll be watching episodes 3 and 4 tonight.

Rating:
Pilot: 3.5 out of 5
TPYHCTFTM: 4 out of 5

Coming Tomorrow:
Tomorrow, expect a review on OTH episodes 3 and 4, as well as Monster-In-Law, A Series Of Unfortunate Events.

Back To Work

After 3 days of sleeping until noon, I had to go back to work.  It took all my entry to get out of bad, so I've been sapped all day.  I watched the whole 3rd season of the Gilmore Girls on DVD this weekend because I didn't go anywhere.  Now one of my co-workers wants me to watch One Tree Hill, so I'm going to be starting that tonight.  Also on TV tonight is Gilmore Girls, which I almost never miss.  But NCIS is also on, so i'm going between them both.  Then I plan on watching one or two episodes of One Tree Hill.  You'll hear my thoughts on the show tomorrow.  Some tell me it's good, some tell me it's bad, I'll tell you like it is.  I'm going home, I promise a bigger update tomorrow, night!

Wheeeee

my site is up!!!!!  go see all my hard work!  Dead Drop.
30 Juni

It was summer....

.....then a huge freakin' storm came and my work couldn't even lose power even though everywhere else around us did.  How fair is that?  We don't even have a back up generator.  And a couple weeks ago the transformer that my dealership runs off of went out because of some strong winds.  The winds were even stronger today!  So unfair.  Well, today is "end of the month."  I'll be working late tonight.  Just like last night and just like I will be on Friday.  Got to love holidays.  Everyone except for dealership employees get time off.  We get Monday off, but it's back to work extra late on Tuesday to make up for it.

The perks of being a cashier:

1.  I get to see the cute customers.
2.  I get to laugh at stupid customers

I got part of my layout finished.  I posted it at All Alias, but I can't post it here until I get home.  I'm excited.  I'm almost ready to open my site!

Review:
Alias Season 4 Finale- Before the Flood (4.22)

This episode of alias was one of the best episodes I've ever seen.  No joke.  It was amazing.  But the last 5 minutes or so, that was the best.  Almost ranking as the best finale I've ever seen, which it was only topped by the Season 2 Finale, The Telling.  Nothing can top the "you've been missing for two years" line and the tell-all wedding ring that set the tone for the 3rd season.  But this one as well left fans on their feet screaming obsenities at the TV.  I know I was one of them.  I was about to throw things at the television before I started to tear up.  Poor Sydney.  After everything she went through, this  had to be the worst.  I definitely felt for her.  The whole "my name isn't michael vaughn" thing made me gasp because, whoa.  She's been having sex with this guy.  He's lied to her since he met her and he seems to feel no remorse.  Ack.  Jerk.  All I can say is I hope Sark comes to sweep her off her feet.  Wishful thinking.

Rumor has it, and it's been confirmed by their publicists, the beautiful and talented Jennifer Garner, has indeed gotten married and impregnated by the talentless, sleazy, waste of oxygen, also known as Ben Affleck.  Gag me with a spoon please.

Well, back to work for me.  Leave me messages on what you'd like to see lovelies :)

Finding Inspiration At The Bottom Of The Bottle

Even after 2 Red Bulls, 1 Pomegranate Juice, 3 Pepsis, and 4 Bottles of water, I still had no inspiration last night and tomorrow's the last day for the SD-1 challenge.  Then voila.  I come to work and it strikes.  Now I'm going to be here all day and once I get home it'll vanish again.  It's like a guy who has an erection in the middle of a family picnic and has to wait until it's over to get some and when the chance comes, the girl he was going to do it with turned out to be a transvestite.  It sucks.  I must thank my darling Thia though for the inspiration.  Her Garden State wallpaper is my current background and it sparked an idea.  Now I'm a sitting duck.  Why, oh why can't I have Photoshop at work?  Anyways, I have finished all the HTML coding for my site.  It looks a lot like the layout for Vintage Print (Melanie.)  I might change it.  I don't want it to look exactly like hers and it looks quite a bit like hers.  Then my first one looked alot like Jems'.  Oh well, maybe I'll mix the two and get my own unique layout.  Ha.  Thanks for nothing Lissa Explains and HTML books, now I look like I'm copying 2 other artists.

I might go to a scrapbooking class during my lunch...if I do, you can expect to hear about it.

I watched 1 episode of CSI last night and 1 episode of Gilmore Girls.  Tonight is 2 episodes of CSI and 1 episode of Lost.  I wish there wasn't any need for reruns.  Give me new episodes!  On the plus side, I may see Sawyer with his shirt off *drool*

Have a nice day :)

Television

I'm a TV addict.  Last season, I was watching 9 shows, not to mention tapes everyone was giving me to watch.  Overall I was watching about 15 tv shows.  Many people were referring to last season as the best television season in a long time with new shows like Desperate Housewives, Lost, and Grey's Anatomy.  You can thank ABC for that.  As well as the mastermind behind their runaway hits, Desperate Housewives and Lost, whom they fired before a single episode aired.  Now he's with CBS and I'd bet my next paycheck it'll show with CBS's new fall lineup.  But back to me.  I watched a little bit of every genre.  Here's my complete list of TV shows that I watched last season  (the * shows the show's I'm still watching on tape)
  • Alias- to me Alias can do no wrong, although I was not fond of the 3rd season like most other fans (except there was a lot of Sark and I adore him.)  It's my most favorite show and I adore JJ Abrams.  I own the first 3 seasons on DVD and I watch them regularly.  You can say I'm addicted to alias.  I'm obsessed.  But it's still one of the best shows.  I'm not just saying that because I like it, but because when you look at all the awards they've won, you know they've done something right.  The scripts are amazing and they mix everything together.  There's sci-fi, romance, action, chick-flickness, comedy, drama, something for everyone.
  • Lost- I heard about Lost back last May at AllAlias.  There was an article floating around that JJ was asked to co-produce a new show.  I admit that once I heard JJ may be involved I was already watching it.  Then slowly over the summer months, I seen their model-esque cast plastered on the sides of buses and I decided that I was definitely watching.  And in late August I was watching ABC and a promo commercial came on and that sealed it's fate.  No matter what, I was going to watch that show.  When it aired in Septemeber I was one of the people glued to the screen from the first moments when Jack (played by Matthew Fox ) woke up on the ground.  Ever since, I was hooked.  When I seen Greg Grunberg as the pilot I couldn't help but laugh (Grunberg plays Agent Weiss on Alias.)  And I was enamored of Locke whom I watched on Alias when Terry O'Quinn played Special Agent Kendall.  This was probably my most favorite show to come out in the 2004.
  • Grey's Anatomy- I don't really watch medical shows.  But this was one of two great medical shows that came out this season.  It took a unique twist on the same old premise.  The character's were great and the finale was just amazing.  I didn't see the last 5 minutes coming.  The cast was good, George was my favorite, but I was put off by the lead's voice.  Meredith Grey could have been better cast.  Her voice grates on me, but besides that the show is great.
  • House- I was almost afraid to watch this show.  Not because of the premise or the blood (although I do not like seeing tons of blood), but because Fox has this problem.  They make the shittiest shows you've ever endured (Point Pleasant anyone?) and keep them on air, then they take some of the wittiest and best shows they have (Arrested Development) and either cancel them or get damned close to cancelling them.  I was afraid that this show may have the Fox Curse, so I waited a few episodes before I decided to test the waters.  So far House did well.  1 whole season for a Fox show is like finding the best wedding dress on the first try.  It just doesn't happen.  We'll see how the show does next season because Fox has another curse, Shitty Sophomore Year, which can be seen Thursdays on The OC.
  • The OC- This leads me to my next show.  The OC.  I admit, I was an addict last year.  I missed the first 3 episodes because I was on holiday and where I was there's not much reception so you can watch TV (check it out here.)  But I watched it when I got home and loved it.  Adam Brody, where have you been all my life.  Oh.  Right.  Stars Hollow.  Anyways, The OC had everything.  Except for a talented female lead (whoever told Mischa Barton she could act should be given the death penalty.)  But besides that, Rachel Bilson, Benjamin McKenzie, and Adam Brody carried the teenage parts well.  Peter Gallagher is an amazing actor and I love watching him weekly.  Kelly Rowan though....her portrayl of an alcoholic was mediocre at best.
  • Gilmore Girls- If you don't love the Gilmore Girls, there's something wrong with you.  It's as simple as that.  The 5th season of this series left me in tears, when Rory turned her back on her mother and Lorelai proposed to Luke.  I must admit I'm not a fan of Logan.  He irks me.  Like when he didn't reassure Rory that her writing was good.  I'm a fan of Marty.  In fact I'll protest unless he's on more next season.  He's Rory's Luke.  Seriously though, they also need more Fin because he was so freakin' hilarious.  I've been a loyal GG fan since it premiered (except for that brief period that swim interfered.)  The show has stayed witty and fresh, without being repetetive.
  • Arrested Development-  I must admit when Fox wasn't giving us notice whether it was cancelled or not, I was extremely worried.  See, this is by far the best TV show Fox has aired in it's entire existence.  It's witty, funny, and original.  It's the critic's "baby" but this show is the most offbeat cult hit to come around in a long time.  I could go into how much I love Jason Bateman, but that could last a long time.
  • 24- Yes, it's true, I've been living under a rock for the last 4 years.  Why?  I never watched 24 until this last season.  Why?  Never interested me.  It reminded me too much of Alias, so I didn't watch it.  Also, because Fox is famous for cancelling good shows, producing shit, and stealing other station's ideas.  But I watched this season.  I've always been a Kiefer fan.  He's just mucho calliente.  But Dina Araz and Beruz Araz were amazing.  I loved Dina's character.  This season was just awesome.  But unlike Alias (i missed the first season and a half) I have no desire to go back and watch the old seasons.
  • Eyes- All I can say is "Why, ABC, why?!"  I can't believe ABC cancelled this show.  Was I the only one watching?  This was great TV, it had all the makings of a hit show, it was just on at a bad time, put it on another day.  Tim Daly was refreshing as the P.I and the cast was amazing and funny.  Maybe ABC execs rubbed shoulders with FOX execs over FOX stealing the Nanny/reality show and got some of FOX's bad choices.  It's pitiful, that show was good.
  • Desperate Housewives-  Yes.  I watched.  But it wasn't the best show on TV like the ads claimed.  In fact, if I missed it, it wouldn't make any difference.  The finale was one hour of my life I couldn't get back.  Anyone with half a brain figured out what they shown.  This show is disappointing.  Hopefully it'll suffer the fate of it's predecessor, Twin Peaks, and be cancelled after it's second season.
  • NCIS- I never was into CSI-esque type shows, but one of my co-workers told me to give it a chance and to watch her tapes.  So I did.  I didn't realize Michael Weatherly (formerly of Dark Angel, yet another show that FOX cancelled even though it was good.)  Soon I came to love this show.  Weatherly and co-star Sasha Alexander played their roles amazingly and up until the finale, I thought they'd get together in the show.  That was before Alexander was killed in the line of duty, protecting her boss who was to be killed by a terrorist.  Next season will probably explore the affect this has on Weatherly's character DiNozzo.
  • Las Vegas- This is a great show and somewhat "underground"  I missed the second half of the 2nd season because of 24, but thank god for summer rereuns.  Josh Duhamal has to be one of the hottest actors right now.  Check out the reruns Mondays at 9 on NBC.
  • CSI (includes NYC and Miami)- like NCIS, I never cared for these type if shows.  Now I like them, regular CSI being my personal favorite.  (I love Grissom.)  NY is my least favorite (Gary Sinese freaks me out.)  I occasionally watch reruns on Spike TV and UPN.  Overall, CSI is a pretty spiffy.

Have a nice day :)

Monday's Make Me Sleepy.

Monday.....well, the weekend was short.  How about a week of Saturdays, please.  I need a vacation.  Thank goodness it's coming.  I leave June 15th and i'm going to NYC.  Great fun.  I think we're staying with my grandparents in the Village.  I come back on the 24th.  I need to get my layout done so I have it updated before I go.  At the rate it's going I'm gonna be working on it for awhile.  Thia has updated Digital Distortia with a new layout and has announced the DD family.  Let me see.....I didn't get much accomplished this weekend.  I need to get my pieces for the SD-1 challenge done.  I missed on the Creative challenge, but I still have one entry.  What else......I read the latest book by J.Minter.  He writes The Insiders.  The latest one is great.  Def. worth the time to read it.  I recommend everyone to read it because it's hilarious.

CD REVIEWS:

I bought 2 new cd's and here's how I rate them...

Coldplay- X&Y (released 6/7/05)

This cd is pretty good.  I personally like the first 6 songs.  I've been a Coldplay fan for almost 4 years now and this is by far their best cd, although my personal favorite song was on their sophomore album.  X&Y was reputed to be their first "rock" cd, but to me it was the same old Coldplay people are so fond of.

I give this cd a 4.5/5

The White Stripes- Get Behind Me Satan (released 6/7/05)

This has the usual ecclectic sounds of Jack and Meg-are-they-married-or-related White.  But unlike the previous releases, it also includes some new musical styles (possibly from Meg dating 50 cent.)    IMO the best song is "Blue Orchid"

I give this cd a 3.5/5 (after years of playing the drums, meg can still only tap on the skins)

Review on Hitch starring Will Smith coming tomorrow.

Free

I'm leaving work early and going home.  Woo-hoo.  I was up until 1:30 this morning trying to work on my site and only got one page finished   I went to Butterfly Cafe and am now inspired to make a few new pieces.  I'll show ya what I get on Monday because I don't plan on being on MSN at all.

Mom and Dad are at a cruise, it's like 90 degrees at least.  I made mom go because I have a bad feeling today and I want to make sure that nothing happens to dad.  Anyways, adios.

24 Juni

Thank goodness for the weekend

I'm so happy i have 6 to look forward to.  This week has been hell.  My A/C stopped working and it needs to be fixed and my window won't roll up.  It seems like everything on that car has gone wrong.  Once something is fixed, two other things go wrong.  But beside's that and one of my annoying co-workers, I've had nothing but great news to report. I have my splash page up, go visit it.  I'm hoping to have the site done by the end of the month.  I already have my layout made, I just need to get on and get all my stuff loaded.  I made a colorization tutorial at AllAlias, go check it out, it's in the Tutorial's Section.  My sister is gone for the weekend so my parents are treating me like an only child.  I plan on working on my site all weekend after I get out of work tomorrow.  I have to come in for some filing.  But thank goodness no customers.  They've been horribly rude lately.  It's quite annoying.  I'm just a cashier.

Poor Natalee Holloway.  Mark my words, Joran van der Sloot and his two friends raped her, beat her, then killed her.  Then the father of van der Sloot finds out and helps to keep her murder underwraps.  My guess is the FBI will find her body in the water somewhere or buried.  The poor girl, she hadn't even turned 18.

In other news, it's a sweltering 94 degrees here in Michigan and every single one of us at my dealership is feeling the heat.  Thank goodness I was a porter last summer where the hottest we got was 80.  My office has air, but the service advisors don't, so I opened my door and am draining my heat.  I'm am rather clammy from the humidity of their office.  Maybe I'll take a cold shower when I get home because I don't care for my pool.  My creepy neighbor watches us when we're in it and I can't call the cops on him because he's doing it in the sanctity of his own home, but we just know he's fiddling around with himself.

Haven't watched any movies lately, but here's a list of the current movies I want to see:

  • Mr. and Mrs. Smith
  • Sin City
  • Bewitched
  • Star Wars: Episode 3
  • Lords of Dogtown
  • The Honeymooners
  • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  • Chronicles of Narnia
  • Crash
  • Fever Pitch
  • Kingdom of Heaven
  • The Longest Yard
  • The Aristocrats
  • Brokeback Mountain (i've been waiting forever for this!)
  • Catch and Release

Have a nice day :)

La Vida Loca

I signed onto AOL Tuesday night after having a semi-bad day at work to find an email from my graphic art idol, Thia.  You probably don't know who she is, but she owns the website http://hybrid-genesis.net.  She's one of the best graphic designers in a long time.  Anyways, she owns a digital art site as well that's a fan art portfolio, http://digital-distoria.com and she opened up hosting there.  I think she's hosting about 10 people.  I'm sure she must have gotten like a million applications and I didn't expect to hear back, but about a week later she emailed me telling me she was going to host me and that I needed to give her my information so she could set up the site!  I'm so freaking excited because this can put my art out there to be seen.  Maybe then I could start working on other sites and making a portfolio.  Anyways, a little something for the lovelies that are reading this.....some art pieces....sorry they're links, I can't upload them because I'm not at home.....

Well, this is my first MSN blog.  Maybe I'll be able to keep this one updated.  Unfortunately I'm a horrid blogger.  Anyways.  Howdy people.  I hope you'll like the site and the art.  I'll be adding lots in the future because I'm always making things.    Drop me a line on what you'd like to to make or if you have a specific request and maybe I'll be nice and make something for you.
